We arrange a very limited number of private trips each year. This means we spend a lot of time, energy and resources in the detailed planning and organization of your itinerary. We also work with individuals who sacrifice their personal time to be a part of your Japan experience. Before considering one of our trips we ask that you please read and understand our Terms and Conditions and the outline of the booking procedure described below.

If you have perused our website you will have seen the word passion mentioned several times. We love showing Japan to people and take tremendous pride in seeing the contented smiles of our guests and hearing them recount special moments from their trip. Much of this success is based on the mutual trust and partnership we have with our clients.  

Our Request
We trust you to provide us with as much information and detail as possible so we can plan a trip that matches your desires and expectations. We ask that you please respond to our inquiries as quickly as possible so you don’t risk missing out on a special event, property or meal we are hoping to arrange for your trip. This communication doesn’t end when the final itinerary is written and we expect that once on trip you will continue to inform us of your preferences and any newly discovered likes, dislikes or needs.  

Our Promise  
In return, we ask that you trust our recommendations, instincts and decisions relating to your trip. The design of your itinerary is based on the ongoing discussions we have prior to your trip and what we feel best matches the personal information you provide us. We have been organizing trips in Japan for many years and strive to satisfy your requests and exceed your expectations while always respecting the culture and people of Japan. We will respond to your correspondence promptly and keep you informed as the planning of your trip moves forward.

Planning Your Trip

Initial Consultation & Trip Proposal
We have an initial discussion to learn more about your potential trip. We request essential information such as the number of travellers, dates you plan to travel, specific destinations you would like to visit, your personal preferences and any special needs or dietary restrictions you might have. We consider all of this information and then send our thoughts, ideas and recommendations for your trip; including a draft itinerary and ballpark price.  

Initial Deposit 
Should you decide to move ahead with your trip and in order to confirm your booking, we ask you to sign a copy of our Terms & Conditions and to send this to us with a completed Traveller Information Form and an initial per person deposit of 30% of the ballpark trip price ($500 per person non-refundable up to a maximum of $2,000 non-refundable per trip). Your booking is not confirmed until all of these are received.

Fine Tuning & Confirmation
We continue to work with you to fine tune the details of your trip. Once you agree on the itinerary we confirm all of the necessary reservations and give you a final price for your trip. Your trip is fully confirmed when we receive your final payment.  

Final Payment 
Full payment is due no later than 90 days prior to your trip start date. All initial fees and deposits will be applied to your final payment.

Pre-Departure Materials 
One month prior to your departure we will send you a package of pre-departure materials including a final itinerary and a Trip Booklet which contains key information about Japan and your customized trip.  

Pricing

All trip prices and fees are per person in US dollars unless otherwise stated. Your draft itinerary and final itinerary will list what is and what isn’t included in this price. The trip price is based on a fixed number of participants and should this number change we reserve the right to change the price accordingly. Our trips generally start at $1,200USD per person per day but the final price will depend greatly on the number of participants and the details of your personal requests.
